Purchase orders on Shopify after Stocky

Short answer: Shopify took Stocky off the App Store on 2 February 2026 and shut it down on 31 August 2026. Shopify’s admin now has its own purchase orders, suppliers and transfers, and receiving happens through the transfer linked to a purchase order. Low-stock alerts are done with Shopify Flow, and counts with POS Quick Count or a CSV import. If that covers you, you don’t need an app.

What didn’t come across

Shopify says Stocky’s history doesn’t move into Shopify automatically: old purchase orders, stocktakes and cost history had to be exported from Stocky’s reports, and suppliers couldn’t be exported at all. If you still have read access, export what you can now and keep the files.

When an app still makes sense

Where Shelfworks fits: Backstock

Backstock covers the Stocky-style jobs in one app inside your admin.
